Serbian Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) and UN Environment took part in the 2nd International and 14th National Congress of the Serbian Soil Science Society entitled Solution and Projections for Sustainable Land Management held on the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Novi Sad, in the period 26-28 September 2017. The aim of the Congress was to promote scientific knowledge and present scientific achievements in the field of sustainable land use.
The Congress was attended by the most eminent experts in the field of soil science from Serbia and abroad, who reported 180 papers presenting the results and findings on soil fertility, organic matter content and land degradation processes caused by climate change, among other. On this occasion, SEPA and UN Environment presented papers on the Management of Contaminated Sites in the Republic of Serbia and Soil Organic Carbon Stocks in the Republic of Serbia, and a poster on Investigation of Potentially Contaminated Industrial Sites.
